    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded five contracts Nov. 16, 2017, for the Qatar Defense Ministry SHIELD 5 Program. Part of a foreign military sales program, the contracts will deliver six project sites throughout Qatar. The Shield-5 contracts total a value of $684,422,583.68.

    Planned Oct. 16 Industry Day Venue Changes to Shenandoah University

    The venue for the Oct. 16 Middle East District Industry Day has changed from Millwood Station to Shenandoah University, Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business, located at 1460 University Drive, in Winchester. Parking is available at the building and the surrounding vicinity.

    WINCHESTER, Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded a contract for a floating pier and associated dredging in Iraq. The contract was awarded on April 29, to PAT GD JV LLC of Rochester Hills, Mich., for $24.4 million.
