Five Contracts Awarded for Qatar Ministry of Defense

WINCHESTER, Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded five contracts Nov. 16, 2017, for the Qatar Defense Ministry SHIELD 5 Program. Part of a foreign military sales program, the contracts will deliver six project sites throughout Qatar. The Shield-5 contracts total a value of $684,422,583.68.

One contract was awarded to MIDMAC Contracting Co. W.L.L., of Doha, Qatar: CONTRACT NUMBER W912ER18C0004, with award amount of $226,290,048.87, and $227,500,000 including options.

Four contracts were awarded to Al Seal Contracting and Trading Company W.L.L., of Doha, Qatar:

  • Contract number  W912ER18C0002, for a total of $118,932,479

  • Contract number  W912ER18C0003, with award amount of $60,621,263.97 and $61,527,529.00, including options

  • Contract number W912ER18C0005, awarded for $107,898,779, and $109,284,781 including options

  • Contract number W912ER18C0007, awarded for $172,844,944.84 and $174,186,580 including options

    The Middle East District provides engineering, construction and related services in the Middle East, Central Asia and other areas. Its work includes designing and constructing facilities for use by U.S. forces, performing engineering activities for other U.S. government and foreign agencies, and providing operations and maintenance services for various customers. In addition, the District provides project management, engineering, contracting and support services to USACE districts in Afghanistan.
