Military Missions

The Middle East District provides services for U.S. military forces during peacetime,

contingency, and wartime operations. The work supports U.S. Central Command, the major unified command with operational control of U.S. security interests in the 20 countries from the Horn of Africa through Central Asia.

USACE provides facilities at certain installations in the region in accordance with established government-to-government agreements. These services meet specific customer requirements, from planning and design through construction completion. The Middle East District provides facilities, infrastructure, and operations and maintenance services that meet the needs of deployed U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and Special Operations forces deployed to certain nations in the Middle East and Central Asia.

U.S. military construction projects include barracks and dining facilities; administrative buildings and headquarters complexes; parking aprons, runways and taxiways; hospitals and clinics; workshops and maintenance areas; and fuel storage and distribution systems. In addition to awarding and managing construction contracts, the District also manages job order contracts that provide minor construction, repair and facilities support at installations used by the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.
