Middle East District Awards Unspecified Minor Military Construction, Southwest Asia

WINCHESTER, Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded a contract for eight separate unspecified minor military construction projects in Southwest Asia, on Aug. 15. The award went to PAT USA, Inc., of Rochester Hills, Mich., for $13.2 million.

The 15 month contract calls for construction of a fuels laboratory, a cryogenics facility, an Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron facility, fuel truck parking, C-17 spare parts facility, high mast lighting, entry control point, and a C-130 aircraft maintenance unit.

The Middle East District provides engineering, construction and related services in the Middle East, Central Asia and other areas. Its work includes designing and constructing facilities for use by U.S. forces, performing engineering activities for other U.S. government and foreign agencies, and providing operations and maintenance services for various customers. In addition, the District provides project management, engineering, contracting and support services to USACE districts in Afghanistan.
