Local National Personal Services Contract Awarded for Corps of Engineers Construction Projects in Iraq

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded a contract on Dec. 5, 2011, to VERSAR of Springfield, Va., for local national personal services in Iraq. The one-year contract, with one optional year, was awarded for $5 million base year with a maximum capacity of $9.9 million.

The contract will provide on-site construction management support for the District’s Iraq Area Office projects. This contract replicates foreign national service employee functions, typically obtained by U.S. Government Agencies supporting overseas project and locations.

The estimated ordering period is Dec. 6, 2011 through Dec. 5, 2012.

The Middle East District provides engineering, construction and related services in the Middle East, Central Asia and other areas. Its work includes designing and constructing facilities for use by U.S. forces, performing engineering activities for other U.S. government and foreign agencies, and providing operations and maintenance services for various customers. In addition, the District provides project management, engineering, contracting and support services to USACE districts in Afghanistan.
