WINCHESTER, Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District has awarded a contract for runway repair work at the Manas Transit Center, located at the Manas International Airport in Kyrgyzstan.

The contract was awarded Jan. 20 to Serka Taahhut Insaat A.S. of Ankara, Turkey, for $17,842,508.

The scope of work requires the contractor to design and construct the repair of the touchdown areas on each end of the existing runway at the Manas Transit Center.
