The Middle East District awarded a contract to restore the Beirut Naval on December 16, 2024.
Contract number W912ER25C0001 was awarded to MVL Builders for $29,363,738.57
Work will include the installation of a marine utility trench along multiple existing piers, three (3) wet and dry hotel stations and one (1) fuel hotel station for vessel docking. Contract scope also includes installation of a new Perimeter Wall, new vehicular gates and crash rated portable passive barriers, seawater fire protection pumping station, a new electrical distribution facility, a new compact substation and generators, new bilge water oil/water separator, two (2) sanitary lift stations, and water storage tank with associated potable water and fire protection pressure booster station. Significant site work, demolition, and tie-in to existing utilities is also included in Contract scope.
The period of performance is 743 days from issuance of notice-to-proceed.
