The Transatlantic Middle East District (TAM) awarded a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract for the procurement and construction of facilities at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait.

The contract, Super Hornet Procurement C, Aircraft Parking Shelters, Parking Aprons and Taxiways, Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, W912ER23C0003 was awarded Nov. 15, 2022, for $25,787,333.61 to Al Ghanim Combined Group Co.

This procurement is the third of six for the Super Hornet program and is crucial to the successful implementation of the State of Kuwait’s purchase of F/A-18 E/F Super Hornets for the Kuwait Ministry of Defence (KMOD) and Kuwait Air Force (KAF). This contract will provide aircraft shelters and apron and is critical for the longevity of the new aircraft.

The parking apron will replace the dated and damaged apron that the KAF was previously using and will also allow aircraft access to the new Organizational Level Maintenance Hangar, which is part of a previously awarded contract.

The period of performance is 649 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
