Middle East District awards Task Order for Super Hornet facilities in Kuwait

The Transatlantic Middle East District (TAM) awarded a task order under the Kuwait MATOC for Super Hornet Training and Warehouse Facility and Warehouse Design, at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait. The task order was awarded Aug. 18 for $10,727, 924.00 to American International Contractors, Inc. (AICI).

This is the first of several construction contracts planned to construct facilities at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, in support of FMS Case KU-P-SBG, Kuwait Super Hornet. 

This project includes construction of a new General Purpose Warehouse for storage of critical aircraft maintenance components as well as renovation of an existing Aircrew Training Facility in order to support new training devices to be provided by NAVAIR. 

The total value of all design and construction efforts for this FMS Case is currently $140 million with potential to expand to $210M.

The period of performance is Sept. 2, 2021 to Jan. 1, 2023.
