Soldiers assigned to U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), conduct an Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) on Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy, Jan. 24, 2023. The ACFT provides the Army an assessment of all Soldiers’ muscular strength, endurance, power, speed, agility, coordination, flexibility, and balance. It was designed to better reflect the stresses of a combat environment, to address the poor physical fitness of recruits, and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries for service members. The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
