Soldiers from 1st Brigade Mobile Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) simulate base defense during JRTC at Fort Johnson, La. on May 13th, 2025. The Soldiers are doing this in support of JRTC 25-07 which involves a Large Scale, Long Range Air Assault (L2A2) which moves a brigade worth of combat power over 500 miles in one period of darkness, going from Fort Campbell, Ky. to Fort Johnson, La. The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
