200406-N-AL707-2001 BREMERTON, Wash. (April 6, 2020) Dry Dock 6 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility is flooded, ending a year-long dry docking for Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson completed the dry docked portion of a scheduled docking planned incremental availability (DPIA) and will complete the rest of the availability floating pierside in Bremerton, Wash. Mission

The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
