KFOR soldiers compete to earn the GAFPB

Multinational soldiers assigned to Regional Command-East of the NATO-led Kosovo Force mission, also known as KFOR, compete to earn the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, or GAFPB, in Kosovo, March 31 - April 3, 2025. The GAFPB is one of the few foreign awards authorized for wear by U.S. service members and evaluates soldiers on physical endurance, military skills and marksmanship. The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
