Secure the Village: Arctic Angels conduct village raid training

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 11th Airborne Division, conduct a village raid in Malselv, Norway as a part of exercise Arctic Shock, March 20 2024. Arctic Shock began with an over-the-pole flight from Alaska to Norway, and `is an opportunity for the 11th Airborne Division to demonstrate its ability to project power globally, expand cooperation with Arctic allies, enhance those strategic relationships, and build readiness by rapidly deploying soldiers to conduct cold-weather field training with the Norwegian Army.

Mission

The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
