U.S. Marines with 3d Marine Division's Chemical. Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRN) Platoon hosted training with soldiers from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 15th Brigade and U.S. Army 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group on Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 17, 2021. This bilateral and joint training focused on increasing CBRN interoperability, proficiency, and collective capabilities for responding to chemical warfare agents. The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
