The Texas National Guard’s brush and riverine teams, part of Operation Lone Star, conduct coordinated patrols along the Rio Grande River to detect and deter illegal crossings and criminal activity near McAllen, Texas, Feb. 23, 2025. Operation Lone Star, comprised of Texas National Guard members in a state active duty status, works with state and federal law enforcement officials, including U.S. Border Patrol, with a continuing mission to deter, detect, and stop illegal border crossings and to interdict transnational criminals.. Mission

The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
