U.S. Marines with I Marine Expeditionary Force, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, unload cargo and set up tents to establish temporary shelters upon arriving at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., July 9, 2025. The arrival and initial set up of essential equipment helps ensure the Marines are ready to support and strengthen security along the southern border. Joint Task Force–Southern Border executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border. Mission

The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
