Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) John F. Kennedy (CVN 79) participate in a video production highlighting naval service and heritage. The video features historical footage of the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) and includes an excerpt from President John F. Kennedy’s speech, stating, ‘I can think of no more rewarding a career than to serve the cause of freedom.’ The production includes the tagline ‘Go Navy, Beat Army,’ showcasing the crew’s spirit ahead of the 125th Army-Navy football game 14 December, 2024. John F. Kennedy is the second Ford-class aircraft carrier and is under construction at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division in Newport News, Virginia. The Middle East District provides engineering, design, construction execution, and related services and support to mission partners in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests; on order, supports contingency operations.

 

The Middle East District is a subordinate element of the Transatlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
