Middle East District Awards Task Orders for Qatar’s SHIELD 5 Program

WINCHESTER, Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded two Task Orders for the SHIELD 5 Program, Qatar’s Ministry of Defense.

  • Task Order #W912ER-13-D-0001 for contract number W912ER-13-D-0001 for $5,524,410.00 to Parsons-Versar JV. Period of performance is Dec. 13, 2017 to Dec. 12, 2019.

  • Task Order # W912ER18F0047 for contract number W912ER-13-D-0001 for a value of $11,359,474.00. Period of performance is Dec. 19, 2017 to Dec. 18, 2019.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded five contracts Nov. 16, 2017, for Qatar’s SHIELD 5 Program. The Task Orders are give specific and define a mandatory performance period for specific parts of the program. The overall Shield 5 program is a value of $684,422,583.68 for six project sites in Qatar.

The Middle East District provides engineering, construction and related services in the Middle East, Central Asia and other areas. Its work includes designing and constructing facilities for use by U.S. forces, performing engineering activities for other U.S. government and foreign agencies, and providing operations and maintenance services for various customers. In addition, the District provides project management, engineering, contracting and support services to USACE districts in Afghanistan.
