Middle East District Awards Contract for Simulator Facilities, Saudi Arabia

WINCHESTER, Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded a contract to ABV Rock Group Co., Ltd., Al Hamidiyah Building Salah A, Saudi Arabia on Jan. 22, for the design and construction of two rotary wing flight simulator facilities for the Royal Saudi Land Forces at two bases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Khamis-Mushait and Al Qassim. The facilities will support the purchase of Apache helicopters and pilot training for the Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command (RSLFAC).

The contract award amount is $13,671,102.85 with a performance period of 730 calendar days from notice to proceed.

The Middle East District provides engineering, construction and related services in the Middle East. Its work includes designing and constructing facilities for use by U.S. forces, performing engineering activities for other U.S. government and foreign agencies, and providing operations and maintenance services for various customers. The District also provides project management, engineering, contracting and support services to USACE elements in Afghanistan.
